NWVA Club Program

NWVA Club is the newest competitive offering from New West Volleyball, designed to provide motivated youth athletes with an elevated training and competition experience grounded in our club’s core values of growth, community and excellence.

What is NWVA Club?
Building on our strong foundation at New West Volleyball, our Club Program gives players (typically in the 12 U-18 U age categories) the opportunity to fully engage in the indoor club volleyball pathway as outlined by Volleyball BC — where the season runs January through May, culminating in Provincial Championships (volleyballbc.org). Through this program, our athletes will benefit from advanced coaching, structured training plans, regular competition, and a clear progression route for those aiming to reach higher-performance levels.

Key Features

  • Aligned with New West’s vision: We maintain the same guiding principles of technical mastery, athletic development, teamwork, and positive sports culture.
  • Club-season structure: Athletes participate in tryouts (typically November/December) and join teams that train through the January–May club season, culminating in the provincial championship stage (volleyballbc.org).
  • Quality programming: Our coaching team draws on the expertise and resources of New West Volleyball, ensuring that the weekly training regimen, strength & conditioning, tactical instruction and competition readiness are all integrated.
  • Progression-oriented: NWVA Club supports those who want to pursue volleyball beyond school or recreational level — for whom club volleyball is an essential development step. (volleyballbc.org).
  • Community and character: While we emphasize competitive success, we also maintain our commitment to positive team culture, respect for the sport and each other, and building lifelong habits of athleticism, leadership and humility.

Who should join?
This program is ideal for youth players who:

  • Have competitive ambitions and are ready to commit to regular training and travel for tournaments.
  • Are looking to maximize their development in a structured club environment.
  • Value being part of a team culture that emphasizes support, growth, effort and respect.
  • Wish to stay within the broader New West Volleyball community while stepping into the competitive club domain.

Expectations & Commitments
Joining our NWVA Club Program means committing to a higher level of training frequency, match competition, tournaments and team practices. Players are expected to maintain both physical and mental preparation, uphold club standards of behaviour, and represent New West Volleyball with pride. As indicated by Volleyball BC’s club model, try‐outs and selection happen in late autumn, and the club season extends through spring (volleyballbc.org).

Why choose NWVA Club?
By choosing NWVA Club you get the best of both worlds: the community, coaching and values of New West Volleyball, paired with the structured competitiveness and pathway of a Volleyball BC-approved club program. It’s the right step for players ready to raise their game, compete with purpose, and grow as athletes and people.
